friendShip® PS 600 Series software is MAC Certified by the USPS for mail manifesting and also certified for Electronic Delivery Confirmation with Signature Capture. Neopost also supports USPS Work Sharing Discounts via the DBMC/ASF system. The FriendShip® PS600 Series is the perfect management tool for the medium volume shipper/mailer or for any shipping department with priority demands on accessing shipping and handling information daily.

Pre-Ship offers an automated, cost effective, multi-carrier rate-shopping alternative. By simply entering the estimated weight and ship-to address, the user can pick from a pre-defined list of carrier service options, with estimated costs, all from the comfort of their office computer. Built-in electronic validated global & personal address books reduce redundant data entry of frequently used names and addresses.

Configurable options include ship-to address validation, which saves on incorrect address surcharges and automatic e-mail notification to the sender and recipient of each parcel being shipped. Pre-Ship, combined with a Neopost multi-carrier parcel manifesting system, provides the total solution for today's corporate environments. Delivery Confirmation is a value enhancement service offered on Priority Mail™ and Standard Mail B. [Standard Mail B includes Parcel Select, Parcel Post, Bound Printed Matter, Special Standard Mail, and Library Mail.] Delivery Confirmation comes in two options: "Electronic Service" and "Retail Service". With both options in addition to status you receive detailed information about the parcel including the date, time, and ZIP Code of delivery. The Delivery Confirmation service is priced individually based on the class of mail and the service option. Fees vary from No Charge to $.60 per piece. Other special services such as insured mail, registered mail, collect on delivery (COD), and special handling may be combined with Delivery Confirmation.

The "Electronic Service" Delivery Confirmation option is offered at No Charge as long as mailers process their parcels via a "USPS Certified Delivery Confirmation" software such as our Neopost FriendShip® 600 Series. The software transmits an end-of-day electronic manifest file containing package level detail (PLD) information to the USPS host computer. Delivery information about the package may be obtained by either downloading the entire file automatically with the software or making individual inquires via the USPS web site or 800# telephone access line.

The "Retail Service" Delivery Confirmation option allows the mailer to either print their own bar coded compliant labels or use pre- printed labels provided by the USPS. Record the PLD package information manually, add the appropriate fee to the parcel postage, and then deliver the package to your local Post Office to be scanned into the USPS host computer system.

Using the Delivery Confirmation service now allows shippers/mailers to have the peace of mind you expect from commercial carriers with the huge per piece cost savings of the USPS. Plus, you can get the added savings of FREE packaging for qualified Priority Mail™ users or "Work Sharing" bulk discounts for higher volume shippers. Our FriendShip® software is also MAC Certified for mail manifesting. So whether you are a shipper or mailer; metering or manifesting your mail; supervisor or manager; the Delivery Confirmation service from the USPS offers another tool to maximize the productivity in your mailing/shipping operation.
